Stephen and Joshua Beaton's Page
Here is Stephen Beaton playing at a memorial service, not long after Christmas, 2004.

He has been practicing every day and improving rapidly!

On July 17, 2005 I took Stephen and Joshua up to the North American Academy of Piping to study with Sandy Jones and Ed Neigh, pictured below. They attended again this year (2006), with another week of intensive piping instruction. I need to put the pictures up from this year. You'll be amazed how much they grew in one year! Stephen grew 4 inches in the first 8 months of 2006, and Joshua is almost as tall as I am now!

On August 27th, 2005, Joshua joined me playing at the beautiful wedding of Jeff and Katie Smith at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville. We tuned to the church pipe organ with a chromatic tuner, and we also played bagpipe harmony together. This is part of my training process. Jeff is a police officer. At the reception the DJ played, "What you gonna do when they come for you? Bad boys! Bad boys! ...."

In November, 2005, Stephen played at a funeral.

In January, 2006, Joshua and I played a funeral together, and snapped some pictures afterward.

In February 2006, Stephen and I played in a band competition. Our band won!! It was a good night.
On Saturday, September 30, 2006 we provided entertainment at the Road Atlanta Petit Le Mans race. The following picture was published on page 6A of the Sunday Oct. 1st edition of "The Times" in Gainesville, Georgia. Behind me, Matt Whetten was drumming, and behind Stephen, Joshua Beaton was also piping.
